No New Posts Swan Lake Loop

This trail is very easy and relaxing. Hardly any hills and very wide trails allow you to go riding bareback or with a cart. The trail does have a small trail the connects it to the lake at one point, but you can pass by it if you don't want to go swimming in the shallow water or let your horse drink.

No New Posts Cougar Mountain Trail

Though the name sounds scary, there are no cougars around. However, there have been some sightings of wolf and bear in the area. This trail does go up a small mountain and has a lot of rocky footing. There are plenty of water crossings and trails that pass by large rock formations. A lovely trail for a more experienced rider.

No New Posts Christmas Beach Trail

This trail is a short one at first. It takes only half an hour to reach the beautiful beaches of Christmas Beach. If you follow the trail, however, it will take you seven hours at a trot to reach another trail, the famous Briar Patch Trail. It is a simple trail until it gets past the beach. It gets very rocky and hilly before it reaches Briar Patch Trail.

No New Posts Briar Patch Trail

The most well known trail in the town of Briar Patch. It is a trail varying from beginner level to advanced with many crazy steep areas and twsts. There is even a very large water crossing over a thinner part of Christmas Beach where the horses must swim across. If you don't feel up to swimming with your horse, there is a bridge that also connects the trail. This trail is a total of 40 miles long with many different loops connected to it. It also leads to the town, a short trail ride of about two hours at a walk. There are areas that have caves and canyons and students are not advised to venture here without an instructor's consent. Non-students are advised to go with a friend and a cell phone. Some parts of the trail haven't been kept up very well, thus there are a few sheer drops and overgrown areas that contain bear and wolves. Bobcat have been known to venture here as well.
